Haus1 Terms and Conditions
1 General
These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Haus1 conducts its rental apartment business. Payment of all or part of the occupancy fee constitutes the Guest's acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
2 Payment
Reservations will only be confirmed upon receipt of a deposit comprising 25% of the full fee. Payment of this and the remaining 75% must be made at least 14 days before arrival (unless otherwise agreed beforehand).
The following forms of payment will be accepted:
- all major credit cards (via PayPal);
- bank transfer in Euro net of bank charges, or
- money transfer using an agent such as Western Union.
Non-payment of the balance by the date due shall constitute the Guest's cancellation of the booking and the deposit will be forfeited.
3 Period of Occupation
Bookings will be confirmed in writing and will include the dates of arrival and departure. Guests wishing to extend their stay are requested to give Haus1 at least 7 days notice unless otherwise agreed and subject to the property or an alternative being available. The exact accommodation cannot always be guaranteed prior to the day of arrival.
The property may be occupied between 16.00 hours on the day of arrival and 10.30 hours on the day of departure by no more than the maximum number of people stipulated by Haus1. The management has the right to refuse entry to all members of the Guest's party if this condition is breached.
For a surcharge of €10 Guests may extend the departure time from 10:30 to 13:30.
4 Charges
All occupancy charges are all-inclusive. Additional services (such as child-minding) are available upon request. These additional services will be billed separately, along with the cost of any loss or damage incurred during the Guest's stay.
5 Cancellation
All booking cancellations must be confirmed by the Guest in writing. Haus1 will refund all payments made on condition that such written confirmation is received more than 14 days in advance of arrival. The Guest forfeits the 25% deposit if this condition is not met. Insurance against cancellation is recommended.
6 Use of the Property
Guests agree that the property will be used in a proper and responsible manner and that they will:
- take all reasonable care of the property, its fixtures and fittings and will leave them on the departure day in the same clean and tidy condition as on the day of arrival;
- not cause a nuisance and will be considerate to the occupiers of adjoining properties;
- not alter the property, fixtures or fittings or overload the electrical system;
- ensure that they are responsible for the behaviour of their children at all times and not allow them to play in the hallways, stairwells or any other communal areas;
- not smoke pipes or cigars in the property, and to ventilate the property properly if smoking cigarettes, and
- not keep pets in the property.
7 Inspection
Guests agree to allow the Haus1 owners or their representatives to have access to the property at all reasonable times for the purpose of inspection, maintenance or repair.
8 Parking
Parking is only available by prior arrangement and will be subject to an additional daily charge. A height restriction of 2 metres applies. Guests having permission to park agree to park their car(s) only in the space(s) specifically allocated to them. Cars are parked at the owner's risk.
9 Damage and Other Loss
The cost of replacement, repair or loss caused by the Guest's unreasonable use of the property or removal of any fixtures, fittings, accessories or linen is their responsibility and will be charged to their account. A comprehensive price list of all removable items is available in each apartment and/or upon request.
10 Breach of Conditions
If a guest is in breach of any of Haus1's terms and conditions and has been requested to leave, the right to occupy ceases automatically. No refund will be made.
11 Keys and Security Devices
A deposit may be requested for keys to the house and apartment. In the event that keys are lost the Haus1 management reserves the right to replace keys and/or locks at the Guests expense. Guests will return all keys and security devices to a Haus1 representative on the day of departure.
12 Liability
While all reasonable care is taken, Haus1 cannot accept any responsibility for injury, loss or damage however caused. Guests are recommended to ensure that they have sufficient appropriate insurance.
13 Complaints
While it is hoped that guests will have no cause for complaint, Haus1 must be informed of any grievance immediately in writing.
14 Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Austrian law.
